Hand-hooked Rugs & Whimsical Folk Art at Old Crow Farm
We're always glad to have you visit! We are located down a winding country road in the beautiful Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.
In this tranquil setting, I hope you will enjoy traveling back with me to a time of "simple folks and gentle pleasures".
These days, my inspiration comes from vintage hooked rugs, old painted furniture, American and European folk art, fraktur illustrations and antique embroidered samplers. I love the colours and motifs and find myself thinking about the lives of those who made these pieces of the past.
Here at Old Crow Farm, I feature my original designs and I also enjoy hooking a limited number of reproductions. My work can be seen and purchased directly from me or at the following locations: ....................................... Vermont Hand Crafters Holiday Show, Sheraton Hotel, Burlington Vermont in November Green Mountain Rug Hooking Guild's Rug Show, Shelburne Museum, Vermont in November Northeast Kingdom Artisans Guild Gallery, St Johnsbury, Vermont .......................................
Most of my designs use wide-cut (#5 to #8 cut) wool strips and are hooked in the folk art style.
Regarding copyright: My original pattern designs are copyrighted and may not be copied or used for commercial purposes as that is what I get to do with them myself! My own original patterns are for a one-time use and the patterns may not be copied. However, permission is given for you to sell the finished rug as long as copyright laws are respected and proper credit is given to Sunnie and Old Crow Farm for the design.
My antique reproductions (or close adaptations) are from rugs in the public domain and I do not claim copyright on them! (The rug or pattern description will say Antique Repro or Antique Adapt.)
